Abstract

TLC and HPTLC analysis were carried out for the hydro alcoholic and supercritical fluid extacts of fresh and dried sample of Usheera.

In TLC, all the four extracts revealed a green coloured band ar Rf 0.84 corresponding to the marker compound khusenol. In HPTCL, at 254nm supercrtitical extracts (S.C.F.E.) had more number of peaks when compared to hydroaclcoholic extracts(H.A.) and at 366nm hydroalcoholic extracts had more number of peaks indicating that more constituents were soluble in S.C.F.E.
